 "1st time in Prague"
little far from center but trade-off was, close to major metro & tram stops, several shops, bars, restaurants, super-market & major shopping mall. Close to Petrin Hill (10min walk or 2-3 stops on tram). Walk to Charles Bridge was a leasurely 35-45min walk-(once you got to "other side", there was a nice river walk to the bridge). Didnt know what I was getting into but it wasnt that big of a deal to be away from city center. Much more of a "non-touristry" section of town. Breakfast was pretty much the same everyday & turned out to be a great addition & value. Poached eggs, lunch meats, hot-dogs?, coffee, OJ, breads etc. so overall it did the job very well. Internet didnt work in my room-but did in the lobby, nor did the towel rack heater-or i couldnt figure out how to work it. Electricity automatically cuts off when you leave the room so don't charge anything (phone, camera etc.) unless your there. Staff was very helpful but was dissapointed when my plans changed and they wouldnt let me check out early with refund. I would have to pay for the night even though i wasnt going to stay there. Other then that everything was fine.
