"Fabulous hotel"

Pros: Fabulous hotel. immaculate. staff could not be more helpful. great breakfast, even the omelettes were a work of art!
Cons: This is not really a negative but it is a good half hour walk from the centre of town.however, it is close to the metro station and tram lines.

Pros: The staff that greeted us when we arrived were very helpful, attentive and friendly. they brought us complimentary welcome drinks while we filled in the registration forms and sorted out our luggage being taken up to our rooms. they ensured that they had given us information about prague and explained key facts very well in english, which was a big help! the detailed explanation of the features and workings for the room was possibly overkill for us aa business travelers, but it was clearly offered with very genuine good intentions and impressive english. the hotel was imaculate through and very clean and in good order. breakfast was welcoming and there was some choice and again, very attentive staff. for a five star hotel the single rooms were possibly a touch on the small side, but this was more than compensated for by the exceeltn standard of the fixtures (bathrooms was outstanding!!) and the friendly and attentive staff. i would certainly consider staying there again - the staff were the main selling poitn as they were fantastic at all points.
Cons: Single rooms were indeed only single beds and therefore slightly small for a five star hotel. my colleague's room was rather cold on the fist night but a call to the desk received an immediate response with attention to the thermostat and provision of an extra duvet the staff asked whether this had been acceptible in the morning without prompting and seemed genuinely concerned.

Positioned near Vltava River, Hotel General Prague is situated in a nice area called 'Andel City' where you can find a variety of good restaurants, bars, night clubs and shopping centres. The city centre is within walking distance from the hotel allowing you to easily reach all major touristic attractions such as Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Wenceslav Square and National Theatre. On top of that, the hotel is a short walk from several tram stops and a metro station providing great transport connections throughout the city.

When staying at this accommodation you receive a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel is situated in a historical structure that was built in 1890 under the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph 1. It now houses General Hotel with the in-house Viva Victoria restaurant serving Mediterranean, French, Greek, Russian and Czech cuisine. In addition there is the wine bar to socialise or relax with its selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including wines, cocktails with bartender show and the possibility to mix cocktails on your demand. The hotel also has a sauna and a meeting room that can accommodate 12 people. Furthermore, this establishment offers access to guests with reduced mobility.

The rooms of Hotel General Prague are provided with a working desk, sitting area and plenty of space. Their designs are inspired by well-known generals and military leaders and they have a private bathroom with hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries and either a rainfall shower with hydro massage corner of a bath tub. You have the choice between several room types offering views of either the courtyard or the street. There are single rooms, deluxe double rooms, junior suites and general suites, the latter featuring a spacious bedroom, tastefully furnished living room and two bathrooms.
