Gloria Hotel Prague  

Room was comfortable. Security concerned me. I walked by the front desk many times and was never even looked at, but to their credence they do have a buzzer lock front door. Young drinkers got very loud in the hallway at closing time for the bars. The sound reverberated off of the reflective stone around the steps area (beautiful craftsmanship) so they may have been floors away but sounded like they were outside my door. Walls were thin - I could hear entire conversations, romping, as well as people using the toilet. If someone came or went from their room, the doors work in a way that forces a person to slam the door to get it to shut tightly so sudden bangs were common. There was no view from my room. The shower was very small, but such is Europe, the rest of the bathroom was ample. The .3L water for sale at the front desk was 50czk ($2.50) but around the corner a bottle three times the size (1L) was 15czk ($.75) which beats anything in the US or UK in price, but I bought 4 bottles before I found the little convenience store. Breakfast was nice. Good selection. They have a 10% off coupon for a restaurant right around the corner. I ate there every day. I am not one to do that; I like to explore, but their food was soooo Frigging good!! I sufficed to explore their menue and almost had everything on it. Not a bad price either. And they had Starapromen on tap - 3 different kinds. Stay upstairs, it was cheaper, better selection of beer, and the beer was colder, and the food was the same as downstairs. All in all. I would go to Gloria again, but don't go there if you are there to see Prague. It is a far walk to anything touristy - which is why I liked it. It was true Czek, real deal, local color.

Hotel problematic for those who smoke .. Internet horrible .. Please not sagging beds and clean linen .. The city center is only accessible by bus. Tickets at the front desk at the hotel only 90 minutes drive from the power for about 15 minutes. Around some Chinese shops. With bars also not a lot. The restaurant, which can go on the advice of a reception, serves hamovatovaya girl bartender. More nowhere near even drink coffee in the morning, it works with 11-12 hours of the dayNot happy

Pros: Nice staff with a friendly atmosphere.

Pros: The buffet breakfast is excellent. sauerkraut for the first meal of the day, what's wrong with that?

Pros: Hotel gloria was very comfortable, rooms were clean and very warm and cosy - the beds were also comfortable.
Cons: The only down side was there was no bar or lounge in which to relax with friends after a long day sight-seeing.
