Praha-Holešovice hadrazí station Prague
When you are in Prague, there are two main train stations. You can use either to board a train. Both handle domestic and international traffic. Each, however, has a specific role to play within the railway system of the Czech Republic. Each station has its own routes to cover. Sometimes they overlap; other times, the services offered differ. The one most frequently mentioned is Hlavní Nádrazí. It is the Main Station. As such, it is the most centrally located. The second most popular station in Prague’s railroad system is Nádrazi Holesovice.
If you want to meet a train from Berlin, you go to Nádrazi Holesovice. It handles all traffic from Berlin as well as some from Vienna and Budapest. It has trains running to both Northern and Western Europe. There are trains to board for Hamburg and Scandinavia. You can also see a high-speed train from Olomouc arrive in Nádrazi Holesovice. The pace at this station is slower than that at Hlavní Nádrazí. Yet, there are still ATMs, and Exchange Bureau, maps and the usual amenities.
