Built two years before the Eiffel Tower, Pĕtrin Tower acted as the major telecommunications tower. This ceased after the construction of the space-age communications tower, Žižkovská. Today, it is an observation platform. Tackle the spiral staircase. You climb up the 299 steps to reach the top and a viewing platform. On a clear day, you should be able to see the woods of Central Bohemia or the region’s tallest peak – Snĕska in the Giant Mountains.
