Hovedstaden is a region of Denmark. The literal translation, from Danish, is the Capital Region of Denmark. The region was formed on the 1st January 2007 and includes the towns and cities of Helsingor, Frederiksborg, Frederiksberg and most importantly, the Danish Capital, Copenhagen.
