 "Beauty is only Skin Deep"
The Adina hotel is a beautiful, modern apartment hotel with great ammenities. Those words end my positive comments for this review. I stayed there for four nights/five days in late October. It's proximity to downtown Copenhagen, combined with the good deal I got with easytobook.com made it my preferred choice. In that short stay I had to switch rooms because of a water issue. The issue was with the shower, in that no matter what water temperature was selected, it would in fact vary about every 30 seconds from very cold to painfully hot - to the point where standing under the water would burn you. When I complained the first time, nothing was done. When I complained the second time the staff informed me there was a problem being worked with the water heater that supplied water to that particular side of the building. To the credit of the Adina Hotel, they upgraded me to a larger room on the other side of the building, suggesting that would solve the issue. It did not. While the new room was nicer, the same issue with the shower remained. It was very cold in Copenhagen that week, and a warm shower for those four days would have been nice, but it wasn't possible. Aside from that, an inadequate number of towels were supplied with the room. Additionally, no matter whether the heat was set to low, or off completely, the room was hot, which made it hard to sleep. Finally, the proximity of the hotel to the train tracks makes for a lot of noise in the room from passing/screaching train wheels, but after switching rooms, I learned that issue depends on the side of the building you stay in. Like I wrote previously, the rooms and hotel are nice and modern, with great ammenities, but the less tangible but equally important elements, the shower, location, towels, are just as important to me and will impact my desire to book there in the future.
