The IMAX Tycho Brahe Planetarium was opened in the late 1980's and provides a spectacular way to watch films. The films are projected on the 1,000 square meter dome screen in a sharp crystal clear quality that is not possible with standard movie theaters. Films vary from month to month and can include themes like nature, under sea life, and anything else imaginable. The Planetarium gives visitors a chance to view the sky up close and educates guests on the planets, stars, and the other celestial bodies that create our Galaxy. The Active Universe is the permanent exhibition at the IMAX Tycho Brahe Planetarium with guided tours to further illustrate the exhibit.
The films are presented hourly. English narration is available through the use of headphones. The show presented in the IMAX format will amaze and delight guests with the sharp image quality and clarity of the film. The prices for the IMAX Tycho Brahe Planetarium are affordable and the trip well worth it.
