The property, originally a Victorian medical school, is listed with Dublin Corporation as a building of 'outstanding architectural merit'. With its pine floors, high ceilings and open fire, guests are offered an environment which is exciting and appealing. Avalon is an eco friendly hostel, one of the only hostels in Ireland that uses wind energy to power the hostel and has full recycling facilities.
