Wellington Monument Dublin

If you want a good spot to book a budget hotel in Dublin, then why not stay by the Wellington Monument? It is the largest obelisk in Europe, and is positioned in Phoenix Park. It was built to commemorate the victories of the first Duke of Wellington, who was born in Dublin, and the Monument was erected during his lifetime. The obelisk stands on a wide base, which has four bronze plaques around it. Three of them have pictures of his career, and the fourth has an inscription.
