Each of the rooms has a telephone, color television, tea and coffee making facilities, room service, laundry service, wake up calls on request, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and more. With all these great facilities, you can be sure you will enjoy your stay at the hotel and you will have all the things you need and want. The hotel has an interesting history as well. Originally a terrace of 3 Georgian houses, Stauntons on the Green was constructed in approximately 1750. Ownership dates back to the National University, who extended the university campus to the property, and used it as accommodation for students, and also to accommodate archives. The university subsequently moved to Earlsfort Terrace, and the Catholic Church sold the property on to the Dunloe Property Group. This group could find no viable commercial use for the property, and it was then acquired by its present owner in 1992.
