A trip to Cairo would not be complete without a trip to the Egyptian Museum. Visitors can see the Kings and Queens who formed this nation firsthand. There are over 120,000 objects and artifacts located in the museum, most of them from important figures and dynasties. Perhaps the most popular of these exhibits is that of Tutankhamen, but other exhibits such as the displays for Tuthmosis III and Tuthmosis IV should not be overlooked. The most interesting artifacts can be seen along with the Akhenaton exhibit which features the unique art of the Amarna Period.
Egypt has yet to yield all of her secrets, but the ones that she has been generous enough to give can be seen at the Egyptian Museum. History is in the air here and visitors will leave the building with a profound respect for the individuals that shaped and created Egypt, not just the Pharaohs or Generals, but the Craftsman, the Workers, and the everyday people that once populated the banks of the Nile
