If you like animals, you might want to check out the zoo in Tallinn. Tallinn’s Zoo offers one of the most interesting exhibits of various animals. It has two options. You can enjoy the animals in their natural environment. You can also take your children, and/or yourself, to the small summer Petting Zoo.
The variety of animals is quite extensive. Open since 1939, the Zoo now provides varied habitats to some 350 species. The Zoo has approximately 5,400 creatures. You can find animals from Australia to South America. There are compounds, aquariums and terrariums. They are home to the usual elephants, owls, tigers and wolves. The Zoo is also home to some rare and unusual species. It also has one of the biggest collections of mountain sheep and goats in the world. The latest addition to the Zoo is a tropical environmental residence. In here, you can find many animals who dwell in the Rain Forest zones. There is also a new exhibit on animals from the Steppes and semi-arid areas of Continental Asia.
