Hotels in Fiji
Of Fijis 332 islands, only a little over one hundred are inhabited and less than one half of those are considered tourist destinations. Viti Levu is the largest island in the Fiji island chain at 4,020 square miles. Its terrain is composed of mountains, volcanoes, rivers, and barrier reefs. One of the island's best beaches is Natadola Beach, which is perfect for twilight horseback rides, sunning, surfing, and diving. The Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool, a thermal spa, is also located on Viti Levu.
South of Viti Levu, the Kadavu Group of islands is one of the less inhabited groups of islands that make up Fiji. Visitors can hike to the top of volcanic peaks and dive into the Astrolabe and see amazing and colorful coral. Visitors to the Astrolabe may also see manta rays, eels, and reef sharks. The small villages in the Kadavu Group are very friendly to tourists and offer a wonderful opportunity to see the traditional islander way of life.
