If you’re looking for a cool little hotspot in Helsinki, the Café Tin Tin Tango comes highly recommended. The locally owned café hearkens back to the glory days of coffee bars of the 1960’s Bohemian era in California, while actually surpassing those hangouts in many ways. A far cry from the commercialized paper cup coffee shops we’ve come to know, the Tin Tin Tango Café actually serves you hot or cold drinks such as tea and coffee in mugs and gives you comfortable sitting space, but what really makes the coffee shop so popular with the locals is the wide variety of services it offers. There’s a pastry and deli as well as a small gallery of work from local artists, but also a self serve laundry area, of all things, and at night, the place serves alcohol and hosts live music shows.
Some of the shows may charge a cover fee, but in generally, you shouldn’t expect to wind up paying any more than you’d expect to hand over for a drink and maybe something to eat.
