The premier business university in Finland, the Helsinki School of Economics, or in Finnish, the Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, was originally founded in the early 20th Century in the year 1911, making it the oldest business school in Finland, and one of the oldest business schools in all Nordic countries. As of the time of this writing, the school has between four and five thousand students, making it the largest school of its kind throughout Finland.
What you will find offered by the school include degrees in the sciences of business at bachelor, master, licentiate and doctoral levels, and programs which are offered in both Finnish and English. The school was ranked twenty fourth on a list of leading Master of Science in Economics programs in Europe by an issue of Financial Times in 2006, and since adopting the Bologna Process, the school has implemented a structure requiring students to complete a three year bachelor’s degree before earning a master’s degree.
