    The region of Pirkanmaa is a landlocked region that is in the southwest of Finland. The regional capital is Tampere, which is the second largest city in Finland. This region of Finland is more densely populated than those that are in the north of the country. The regional language is Finnish and the local currency is the Euro. Shopping opportunities are excellent in the city and you can even have a meal in the revolving restaurant on top of the Nasinneula Tower. You may choose to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art or the Tampere Art Museum. Tamperes Central Square is worth visiting as it is home to magnificently impressive architecture such as the early 16th Century Messukyla Church.
