Note that while this hotel is in close proximity to the train station, the area is a little on the "sketchy" side. be extremely careful when booking a single room in this hotel, you may get stuck with the dreaded "closet" (a.k.a. room 305). this room is very tiny and not quite as large as the average "single" in this hotel. in room 305, a twin-sized bed is squeezed into a space a few feet from the door and there is absolutely no space to move around in the room! btw, the hotel also has a couple of other single rooms that are almost as small. when we attempted to switch rooms, the staff member (a middle-aged, balding man with glasses) told us the hotel was full and there were absolutely no other rooms available--we'd have to wait until the next morning to see if someone checked out. when we returned to the hotel a few hours later, after dinner, a new staff member was on duty and told us that there were actually several other rooms available and we were able to switch. also, the air conditioning didn't work in one of the rooms we booked. we submitted a request and guess what? they didn't bother to fix it! :)

Thought the streets were untidy and the toilets in most restaurants were very unclean and basic. also th majority of locals were surly.

Didnt feel comfortable around hotel at nights drug dealers on corner of street

Our air conditioning was faulty and could not be repaired during our stay. we were not given an adjacent room for our children, as requested, although we were given rooms on the same floor.

No milk or coffee in the room! no english speaking tv channels

Leaking shower on to floor & sound proofing between rooms poor

Our room was the smallest that we have ever had and was barely bigger than our last cruise berth.

Beds were pretty bad - like camping beds! beds weren´t turned down each day
