Nice attractions are quite plentiful and because of this, there is always a large number of people who visit the city every year. The Musee des Beaux-Arts counts among the attractions in that are frequented by quite a lot of visitors annually. This beautilf private mansion, which was constructed in 1878, is the home of over 6,000 art works that date way back to the 17th century up to the 1940s.
There are many pieces of art work in the Musee des Beaux-Arts that were produced by French artists such as the sculptures that were done by Rodin and Carpeaux. There is also a fine collection of Flemish school paintings, which have been restored quite remarkably and the museum is quite proud of. The two exhibition spaces in the museum that have been devoted to modern art and features such artists as Raoul Dufy, Kees Van Dongen and Picasso are also among the most visited Nice attractions. The symbolist work of Nice artist Gustav Adolf Mossa, who was also curator of the museum for a period of time, is also among the notable works here.
