Pros: The location of the hotel is very good, at the centre of nice, only ten minutes walk to the beach and just five minutes to the train station which could be used for the trips to monaco and cannes. hotel staff was kind to let me use their computer and internet at reception to on-line check-in for my flight. they were happy to open a bottle of wine for me even though i bought it in a supermarket. the hotel is very good value for money, especially during the high season if your plan is to spend most of the time outside.
Cons: The staff could become much more friendly if they tried harder. one member of staff had some inappropriate comments towards myself one evening and as i was travelling on my own i felt very ackward and just went quickly into my room. even though breakfast costs only 6 euros it is terrible and i had it just once. coffee was very bad, not fresh as well as bagette or croissants. my room was on the ground floor even though i requested a room on a higher floor. a cleaner left my window open one day offering all my belongins to the passers by. definitely bring ear plugs as it can get quite noisy, especially on the ground floor.

With a 2-star rating, Plaisance is a great budget lodging option. There are good connections to the surrounding areas via Nice Ville Railway Station. A plethora of popular attractions are easy to reach from this location, including Musee d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain and Theatre of Nice. If you have some spare time during your visit, don't miss Gare du Sud. Voeu Church is a characteristic building in Nice.
