There are many wonderful structures in France that are worth mentioning for their architectural styles, and many of these buildings presently house great collections of art. These buildings and the artworks that are contained in them are worthy to be considered some of the best attractions in the country. One of these buildings that were turned into museums is the Palais Episcopal in Troyes. This structure and the collection that is housed within it are among the best of Troyes' attractions.

The Palais Episcopal was the former residence of bishops in the 16th, 17th and 19th centuries. Now, it houses the Museum of Modern Art, and it is attracting quite a large fan base since it is one of the most culturally significant of Troyes' attractions. The nucleus of this wonderful museum is the Levy Collection of artworks that span the years between 1850 and 1950. Included in the collection are the works of Gauguin, Bonnard, Picasso, Cezanne, Vuillard, Degas, Modigliani, Derian, Soutine, Matisse and Rouault. You can also find a collection of African art here as well as a sculpture collection that is on display in the garden.
