In the Segala hills and plateau of Grands Causses is where the city of Rodez, France is located. Here you will find unique formations of rocks that are known as “Chaos” for its resemblance to remnants of ancient cities. This medieval city is bordered by the river of Aveyron. There are two main city squares that you may find interesting to visit. These are the Place de la Cite and the Place du Bourg. The Cité is where you’ll find the Cathedral Notre-Dame which features pink stones. Another historical structure to visit is the Maison de Guitard dite Tour des Anglais which is a fourteenth century building holding a fortified tower. If you love swimming and engaging in water sports, then visit the Lacs du Levezou. The Roc et Canyon on the other hand offers outdoor activities like cycling, rock climbing, and canyoning among others. There is also a monastery which is now a stud farm in Haras.
