Encased in Plexiglas, the embroidery narrates the tale of England's conquest by William the Conqueror. Such scenes as the coronation of the Harold as England's Saxon King, his return from Normandy as well as other scenes that eventually ended with his death. The decorative borders of the tapestry include scenes from Aesop's Fables. This embroidery has made the museum one of the top attractions in Bayeux that visitors should not fail to visit.
