The Universite de Caen Bass-Normandie is an educational institution that has long been established for its high standards with its rich history and top level research as among its main foundations. It was founded in 1432 by King Henry VI of England and could be considered as one of the many Caen attractions. By 1438, the university already had five faculties and these were arts, civil law, medicine, theology and canon law.
