Maison des Tetes Valence

This house is one of most magnificent examples of the flamboyant fusion of the Renaissance and Gothic styles. Constructed in the year 1530, the Maison des Tetes is undoubtedly one of the remaining properties in the town that will give tourists a good idea of the style of architecture that was prevalent in the town at that time. The house is covered with colorful sculpted heads that seem to stare at passers-by menacingly and it still outshines the rest of the houses in the neighborhood, making it quite undoubtedly one of the most interesting of Valence's attractions. Although the house is not open to the public, its exteriors seem to be impressive enough to attract visitors.
