Douarnenez hotels and accommodation

Douarnenez is a port and a beach at the same time, which is perfect for a summer vacation in a weekend. Douarnenez is also known for its Floating Museum, found in Port Rhu, wherein a total of 60 boats are on display. Visitors also flock to this place because of their beaches known as the Plage Sable Blanc and Plage Saint-Jean. Aside from the waters and its museums, there are chapels worth visiting too. All of them had been built during the 17th century: Chapelle St Michel, Chapelle Ste Hélène and Chapelle Sainte-Croix de Ploaré. Their church, the Eglise de Tréboul may have been built at a later date (19th century) but its neo-gothic architecture makes this church a jewel to savor. You should visit this place during July where you can experience the Maritime festival that happens only once in two years.
