Art galleries are among the major contributors in the tourism in Aigues Mortes. This is mainly because the tradition of art and culture in the town is also what draws the crowds in to view its offerings when it comes to artworks. One of these galleries is the Jumeaux Gallery, which was initiated by Claude Mazel.
Mazel's name is quite known in the circles knowledgeable about French art. Though the man was born in France, he spent most of his time and career on the Caribbean and the United States. It was only in 1999 that Mazel decided to the country where he was born and made up his mind to open an art gallery, which is now known as the Jumeaux Gallery. Housed in a beautiful building, the gallery is filled with artworks of the highest quality that have been brought from different places around the globe, to be put on display in town. These artworks are what draws visitors, thereby making the gallery as among those that generate revenue for the trade of tourism in Aigues Mortes.
