The small town of Marsolan is found in the Gers department of southwestern France. The department was created from the former Guyenne and Gascony provinces in 1790, and today the residents are called les Gersois. It is an Occitanian language that is a remnant of the waves of immigrants that have moved through the area. But don’t worry, French is spoken in the town as well.
