Andernos-les-Bains Hotels and Accommodation

Andernos-les-Bains is an area that actually consists of four smaller areas, Audenge, Cassy, Lanton and Taussat, which together constitute an important French center of the oyster industry and, more recently, a popular destination with tourists. Popular attractions here include: the beach—almost 4 miles of beautiful, sandy seaside relaxation; the longest dune in Europe, the Great Dune of Pyla; the historic Cape Ferret light house; and the Island of Birds. The Island of birds are actually two birdhouses. They were constructed in the middle of the bay and, in addition to providing accommodations for the village's feathered residents, they serve as some of the village's most well-known landmarks.
