Colmar has a rich history which provides a wealth of wonderful attractions to see while visiting. The Musée d'Unterlinden is housed in an old Dominican convent and features the Issenheim altarpiece from the 16th century, which is both magnificently painted and sculpted. The town’s Dominican Church also has a lovely altarpiece, worth stopping in to see.
