Corte is a town frequently visited by skiers during winter. This fortified town in the island of Corsica also has numerous structures that complement the strong fortifications found in this town. The Eglise de L'Annonciation is located in the town’s square. Built in the middle of the 15th century, the church was reconstructed to its current structure in the 17th century. Inside you will see a sculpture of the Virgin Mary from the 17th century and furniture from the 18th. Paluzzu Naziunale is also a place worth visiting which is currently a part of the town’s school. And while you’re there for the weekend, Corte can also be discovered by visiting the Musee de la Corse. This museum is dedicated to the traditions not only of the town but of the whole island of Corsica.
