Cordon Hotels and Accommodation

Cordon is all about skiing. This small resort town is part of the Ski Pass Mont Blanc Area, which means that visitors to the town can purchase a ski pass that allows them to access 394 different ski runs in resorts such as Argentiere, Chamonix, Le Tour, and the 11 kilometers of ski slopes in Cordon itself. The town is called the ‘balcony of Mont Blanc’ because of its incredible location and panoramic views of Mont Blanc. You have to drive a 4 kilometer road full of hairpin curves up the mountain side to get there, but the view is worth it. The town itself is dominated by Tete Noire, or Black Head Mountain. Hikers can climb the trail to the top in about three hours and enjoy some more incredible views. In town, visit the main church, L’église Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, dating from 1787. You can also take a sidetrip to the Château de Bourbonges outside of town.
