Briançon is a commune located in France in the Provence of Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The Fort Janus, which is only 4,000 feet above the town is a site few miss while visiting here. The Collegiale Church, a 17th century parish church with two towers is also a main attraction here. You're also very near to the Parc National des Ecrins.
Serre Chevalier Ski Resort draws a large crowd in the wintertime. Briancon is big on cycling and hockey and, if you're lucky, you may get to enjoy a race now and then during your vacation here. This has been the site of the Tour de France more than once. The climate in Briancon is not only perfect for those wishing to retain their good health, but also makes for a perfect vacation.
