The village itself is found in a lovely forest, providing the visitor with enjoyable natural scenery. The main attraction in the town is the Chateau de Boisgibault, built at the end of the the 17th century. The manor house of the Riviere was built in the 15th century, though its battlements date to the 14th century. The Bordes Manor dates from the 16th century, and that of Marchais-Lambert was built between the 16th and 17th centuries. The town’ s parish church wasn’t built until the 19th century, and there are also a number of 19th century chateaux open to visitors as well.
