When you visit Montagris for your weekend, Montagris will greet you with their bountiful forest, Foret Domaniale de Monetagris. This forest holds some of their economic activities such as farms producing saffron. The town itself is beautiful with numerous canals that stretch within the city. You can almost feel it’s like Venice in France. While taking a walk in the streets, visit the Eglise Sainte-Madeleine. This 12th century church has had some changes over the centuries but the renaissance architecture is most appealing to everyone. Like many of the towns in France, it also has its own museum. Named the Girodet Museum, you’ll see various paintings from different countries and sculptures from the middle ages.
