The region of Lot-et-Garonne is home to the Rivers Garonne and Lot. People admire the rolling hills and gentle valleys of the region. This is an area rich in fruit trees and Romanesque Churches. You can visit the Romanesque churches of Abbaye de Moirax, Moirax and Aubiac, to name but a few. To see them all will take longer than a weekend. Lot-et-Garonne, however, is more than Romanesque Churches. It is also a region of military architecture, museums and vast plum orchards. Agen, the provincial capital of Lot-et-Garonne, has two popular attractions – its plum orchards and its rugby team. Agen is also has a fine Municipal Museum of fine Art and a Cathedral of St. Captais. It is not a bastide town like Prayssa with its four gates or a fortified village like Moirax. These villages are also worth visiting if you come to Lot-et-Garonne.
