France is replete of vantage points where the most fascinating views of the country can be seen. One of these is the Mont Saint-Cyr, which offers the best sights of Cahors. If you happen to be in the city during your visit to France, make it a point to take a walk up this large hill.

Located opposite the old area of the city of Cahors, the Mont Saint-Cyr is a hill that has a summit with a height of 264 metres. To be able to climb to the peak of this hill, you have to take the path that will lead you out the city and over the Louis Phillipe Bridge. While this might be quite a trek considering the hill's height and its location, once you reach the summit that has a radio antennae marking it, you will know that your effort has been worth it. This, as it is only at this vantage point where you are able to see the greatest sights of Cahors and the impressive Quercy countryside that skirts the area.
