Dunkerque hotels and accommodation

The city of Dunkerque is located on the northern coast of France near Calais and it has a population of around 72,000 people. To spend the weekend, Dunkerque has the beautiful dunes, which have now been transformed into seaside resorts. The place is surrounded by many attractive tourist spots like Malo-les-Bains which has a surprisingly pleasant nineteenth-century seaside suburb. The tall medieval Redbrick belfry (a landmark of the city) is a UNESCO world heritage sight you should visit in your lifetime. The Musée des Beaux-Arts has a good collection of seventeenth and eighteenth-century French, Dutch and Flemish paintings and the Musée Portuaire illustrates the history of Dunkerque from its beginning as a fishing hamlet.
