Staying in a budget hotel near the Odeon in Paris is one way to stay abreast of all the action going on in the fabulous City of Lights, and EasyToBook.com can help you do exactly that. This is because the Odeon is perhaps the most famous of the six national theatres that can be found along the infamous left bank of the Seine River. Dating back to the late 18th century, the Odeon is a good example of classical architecture in the French style and was originally built in the garden of the Hotel de Conde where it served the locals for many years.

While the Hotel is no longer there, the Odeon remains, and frequently hosts new shows and attractions in keeping with its long-standing history as the premiere stop for the theatre arts in Paris. Considering all that has gone on here, it’s no surprise it has this reputation. Marie Antoinette attended the first show to be held at the Odeon in 1782, and Beaumarchaise’s opera, the “Marriage of Figaro” made its world debut there just two years later.
