 "Good price with sufficient service / convenient location"
This hotel offers the good price for stay and is located very close to Metro station. Although I can't say room is clean, it was OK just to sleep. Hotel staffs can speak in English. They are kind and friendly. It's a good hotel for people who want to squeeze the price and weigh on the location.

 "A Den Of Thieves ?- Un repaire de voleurs?"
Good bits first - I was travelling by motorcycle and was in Paris to see a band (The Bellrays) and there was plenty of free motorcycle only parking on theis quiet Paris street. The location was good, most of the attractions - if you want them - within a relatively easy walk. There are bars and restaurants nearby which cater for a mix of local residents and temoporary one like myself. The 'Reception' is almost non-existent which is good and bad. Access /check-in to the hotel hotel is via an automated 'key bank' at the front door, which enables 24 hour check-in but without anyone to explain the functions of the keys or the location of rooms. On using the bike to get to the gig the doorman, sitting inside the hotel where he can ignore the attempts of people trying to get in, demanded I pay for the room before going out - the usual practice is to pay for it after you have stayed and was there for a few days, I paid anyway. Another panic attack when loading the panniers on when I left, and in my halting French I had to explain that I was going nowhere without my helmet and the rest of the luggage and yes, I would return the key before I left. Flustered, I managed to leave £120 in UK currency in the room, realising I had done this in Calais! Doh! Not to worry, an email despatched immediately I arrived home should do the trick. No response. The following day my girlfriend phoned the hotel and , in her fluent French, negotiated the return of my cash. It hasn't arrived. More emails - in French - with no response and another phone call with assuarances that the money would be sent by post (and I had agreed to recompense the cost via credit card) and still nothing. I have now written this off and can only hope that the staff have done something nice with my money, which was worth over 150 Euro. The room needed a good clean, was pokey for one person - basically a cupboard with a bed and shower, and the plumbing needed attention the taps being held together with parcel tape to stop them leaking.I have stayed in Paris before, typically in budget hotels. I don't expect much apart from hinesty and integrity. Neither were on view here.Find somewhere else !

 "Internet would habe been nice"
Wireless didn't work. It probably would have worked if someone working there would have reset the router for the floor. I am not sure if it was laziness, stupidity, or indifference, that kept someone from attending to this. I left after the first night because of it. The front desk person, in typical Gallic fashion, could not even simulate regret at the inconvenience.

Pros: The man at reception was nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: The hot water ran out half way through washing my hair.

Pros: Free wifi, good location, good value for the price, big rooms
Cons: The shower and bathroom wasn't that clean, mouldy shower etc but the sheets and room were clean. walls are really thin so you can hear everything going on next to or above you
