 "Paris Adventure"
Found this hotel to be very nice. I walked everywhere from this hotel. Staff was very friendly, very helpful and very easy to communicate with. Nice room, cleaned daily. Good wifi connection. Fridge in room very handy for stocking snacks and drinks. Several food markets close to hotel. The only reason I do not give 5 stars is I found the bed and pillows to be very uncomfortable. (Though I find hard beds seem to be the norm in Europe.) Can't rate breakfast as I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Thank you Tina for the recommendation of getting to the airport well ahead of my flight time Friday. Lines at the airport were very long!

 "Easy, smooth and great location"
The staff were very friendly. Hotel very clean. Did not try the breakfast as there was a boulangerie very close by and they had really good croissants and other great french breads for a very good price.

WiFi worked excellent for the 2 nights we stayed there.

The greatest thing by far is the location. Walking distance to the gallery LaFayette and also the Louvre. Quite close to nearest metro as well. The atmosphere around the hotel is good, good neighbourhood.

The only negative I can think about is the shower which was quite small and had a shower drape which made the floor quite wet. Maybe glassed in would have been better?

 "Plesent stay"
I had a very plesent stay at the Aida Opera Hotel in Paris. The hotel is situated in a central place, ten minutes walk from Gare de Nord. My room was on the first floor, small but clean and with a good bed. The only problem I had were my neighbours upstairs. They made a lot of noise wearing high heels and slamming doors.

 "Good location, nice hotel"
My fiancée and I took our young niece and nephew for their first trip away to Paris. we booked two nights at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived inside (outside there was a lot of scaffolding but this didn't affect our stay). We wanted a central location so that getting around Paris wouldn't be a problem; the hotel is a 10-15min walk from gare du nord station where the Eurostar stops. The lady at the front desk was polite and helpful and the children were excited because she allowed them to practice their french with her. We were staying in a quadruple room which was a little on the small side, the kids called it cozy! It was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the room had everything we needed, including tea/coffee facilities and even a small fridge which was really handy. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a proper bath and again very clean. We received fresh towels and a bed change each day. The only slight negative was that at night you could sometimes hear people walking around above you, but the room was warm and comfy so sleep wasn't a problem. There is a metro station, Grands Boulevards, located about a 5min walk from the hotel which connects to all major attractions, from here we found our way to the Eiffel Tower, Disney, the louvre, notre dame, sacre coure. The hotel offers a breakfast option for an extra €15 per person per day; we opted not to take this as it seemed a little steep for what was on offer also there are plenty if shops and supermarkets to buy fruit and croissants from for much cheaper which we did instead. We were extremely satisfied with the hotel as it was good value for what we paid and had everything we needed, the central location really is a huge bonus as we aced money not having to take taxis anywhere and yet there was no noise pollution from the street once you were inside the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

"Great value with very helpful staff"
We only stayed one night in Paris on our way home from holiday. This hotel was very good value, clean, well appointed and easy to find. There was parking nearby with discounts for hotel clients. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap and clean hotel. Not luxurious but definitely good value. The hotel staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and keen to assist.

 "Paris is disappointing/dangerous/dirty"
The receptionists were mainly rude and unhelpful. During our stay of the four receptionists we met only one was well mannered and accommodating. The walls were paper thin, we could hear the people talking next door. Other hotels make efforts to look nice yet this one was unkept. The wireless internet connection which is advertised was horrible continually dropping out, come on is 2012!!!, surely a central hotel in Paris shouldn't be having these problems. The staff were so rude when asked about this. The streets are getting dirtier each time I visit. The gypsy groups are very intimidating, and have many pick - pocketing tricks which make you feel horribly unsafe, yet the police don't seem to care(corruption???) This hotel is in the middle of these pick - pocketing areas.

 "Horrible attic room"
This hotel is very well placed i a hotel district near Gare De Nord but the attic room was horrible, the bathroom windows were screwed close, the heat was terrible when we there but at least there was air conditioning. Other hotels in the surrounding area seem to offer better deals.

 "Long weekend Aïda"
The room and the location were good. The service and the hotelpeople were very kind and helpful. I We didn't use the breakfast, but still hope that qne day France will serve similar breakfasts as the German do. A lot, and a lot to choose. Now it's only some bread and marmelade. And the breakfast costs 15 Euro in Aïda! That is far too much. Otherwise, only compliments.

 "Aida Opera two day stay"
We turned up at the hotel at 11.15pm to be told there wasn't a room for us due to a guest's illness. The hotel had booked us into a nearby hotel and ordered a taxi to get us there. As compensation they gave us free breakfasts (we chose the hotel because it serves kosher breakfasts) the following morning and the following day and put a bottle of red wine in our room too which we thought was more than necessary. The rooms are spacious but the air conditioning unit rattled which meant it could not be used overnight. The bed was very comfortable with more than enough pillows though the leather ones were unnecessary and of no use. There was a clean bathroom with bath and shower. It seemed a little pricey for the location and quality but I would definitely recommend it for a short stay.

 "short stay"
for a short stay, i would recommend hotel. Very good location. Rooms clean, beds very comfortable. Only small negative was very small bathroom but we didnt care as it was a quick shower and out the door. Lots of inexpensive cafes and places to eat in the neighbourhood and so close to the metro. Would stay here again and would recommend.

"Everythin else were great except for the lift that was not working for the whole time"
Everything was great.. The services, clean rooms, english speaking receptionist, big and spacious room.. Those were really good.. Except one!! The lift was not working for the whole time we were staying at the hotel.. And we were at the highest floor of the building which is the 6th floor!! We had really tiring time bringing our luggage up and down and climbing up the stairs after a tiring day out in the city..

Cons: Non-existent ventilation, damp smell in the room, dirty curtains and dirty upholstery in the lobby, pictures on the website are misleading to what really the hotel is about

"The bed was clean and very comfortable"
Pros: The bed was clean and very comfortable. the hotel staff was cordial and helpful.
Cons: We paid 450 euro for 3 nights which did not include breakfast or city tax - hence was very poor value for money. our room was upgraded hence we had a bit of space ; otherwise the room would have been very small.
