Hotel Paradis Paris  

The stairs and hallways looked like cr*p, I mean, really bad. When I arrived in my room I turned on the TV but there was no TV reception. I then went to the toilet and there was actually [--] all over the toilet seat. Also, there was a big hole in the ceiling and under it was a pile of cr*p that fell from there. I got a replacement room and everything was fine eventually but the fact that they tried to get away with all this is just rediculous!

we stayed here over easter weekend, the hotel is in an undesireable location, it was also quite difficult to find as the name was different, it looks as tho it is in the middle of renovations, it is scruffy in appearance and the rooms are definetly not sound proof!!!! we had booked and paid for the room including breakfast but they kept telling us that we had to pay for breakfast until we showed them our printed out copy of the booking confirmation. woud not recommend this place, would not stay here again

Pros: Very friendly front desk staff, great location.
Cons: Renovation still in progress, so very noisy in the mornings-lots of bare plaster walls and dust everywhere. felt very nervous about the fire procedure, and this was not helped by seeing a smoke alarm hanging from a ceiling by the bare wires! bathroom v. outdated and pretty smelly.

Cons: The room is very dirty...unbelievable that i can stay 2 nights in such hotel...

Pros: There were 2 front desk staffs who were friendly to us and was able to help us with some simple requests.
Cons: The lady in charge of the breakfast area was rude to me when i asked her for hot water to make some hot drinks. she refused to boil the hot water for me despite having a electric boiler in the kitchen and the hotel manager even made fun of my friend when she was not happy with the lady.

all the previous hotels that i have stayed were able to fulfil my request for hot water except for this. when i asked for the reason why the hotel cannot make the hot water for us, the hotel manager replied that hotel guests are not allowed to eat inside the hotel room, which i think is ridiculous. this is the worst hotel that i have stayed in paris and i will not recommend anyone to even consider booking it unless you are on low budget. the breakfast at eur$6 is not that fantastic as i can find cheaper and better breakfast at some cafes outside the hotel.

Pros: Staff was very helpfull
Cons: The smell from the bathroom was terible and there was lots of black mould in the shower, toiletseat not in a nice condition and i could go on, general cleanliness of bathroom was not good. there were big stains on the carpet of the room and the radiator could not be regulated so i woke up with a headacke every day.

Pros: Brilliant location

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. the room and toilet were clean.
Cons: They should renovate the corridors and stairs. it looks as if they were doing some work and suddenly stopped.

Pros: Excellent value for money!the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. located in a quite back street. clean bedding, clean towels- modern bathroom with shower,tv in room.5 min. walk to metro stations. my partner and i stayed for 2 nights and had no complaints. overall i was very happy for what i paid for. rooms are quite small, but big enough for a short stay- if you want a big room in paris, then you're going to have to pay big money!

Pros: Helpful front desk
Cons: Didn't get wakeup call. noisy most of the night, rundown.
