I was very unwell when I arrived and the assistance provided over the few days I stayed was wonderful. My thanks again . Perhaps it was the fever but the room was very small.

 "Like a Boutique Hotel!"
This Best Western Marais Bastille was more like a boutique hotel - contemporary, clean and cosy. The location was good, within 2 minutes of the Metro Line 5, and within 5 minutes walk of Bastille with its coffee shops and restaurants. There was an impressive Sunday market opposite the hotel (and an equally impressive clean-up operation the same afternoon!). The area felt safe at all times.The hotel offered room-service and breakfast, neither of which I used but looked good. The room was small but clean, attractive and quiet - perfect for my stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was inviting. It would have been good to have had a couple more English channels to choose from on the TV but that is a very minor gripe! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

 "Could improve service"
After reading several good reviews, our expectations were quite high. Sadly, we found the Marais Bastille quite similar to other hotels in Parisand not really worth the 174 EUR we paid per night. Staff was friendly, but not very flexible. I asked to keep the room one hour longer, (to shower after yoga class), but got a very strict answer that this was not possible.Cleaning staff seemed to always be prepared to come at the very time we were back from sightseeing/shopping and quite unwilling to cope with people in the room or to come back later.The garden shown in the photos is very tiny, so we did not sit in it.Regarding breakfast, we found that enjoying an outdoor breakfast at nearby cafes was both cheaper and more memorable.The location is great - quick walk to Bastille & Marais.

Pros: Great little hotel- very clean, beautiful rooms. helpful staff. i felt like i was at home- welcomed every day.
Cons: No- it was really one of the nicest places that i stayed in paris.
