Hotel Eber Mars Paris  

The hotel was ideally located for our brief stay. Located within a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, 4 minute walk to the Metro and restaurants everywhere you turned. The room was small (by US standards) but sufficed for one night, especially considering our intent was to be out and about and not holed up in the room. The bed was a bit hard for our liking.The price was outstanding when you consider the location and cost of other hotels in the area. But it was the staff, namely the owner who ran the front desk, that made the hotel a wonderful experience. He was engaging, funny and accommodating. He provided helpful tips on where to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner.After our experience at the hotel I decided to write a positive review even if I wasn't asked to.I'd recommend this hotel to individuals traveling on business or couples.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel over Christmas. The rooms were small but clean and for the price it hardly matters. There was a little bit of construction affecting the ceiling of our bathroom but it made no practical difference. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Eiffel Tower, the Ecole Militaire metro stop and plenty of places to eat. The only downside to the hotel is the single one person elevator and the fact that you have to hand the room key into reception whenever you leave, meaning you have to collect it every time you return to your room and wake someone up if its late. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel to people who don't intend on spending much time in their rooms but still want somewhere comfortable and clean.

Had the tiniest elevator I have ever seen. An extra reason to make sure you don't travel with much luggage! Very friendly owner and helpful. Good breakfast. Good location - only about 4 blocks from the Eiffel Tower and a public parking lot across the street. We would stay there again.

Pros: This hotel's location is fabulous. it is right next to the eiffel tower and very close to a grocery store that allowed for me to stay under budget for food purchases. it is also across the street from a metro stop which made traveling to different areas of the city and airport very easy. the room was cleaned daily and the bed was very comfortable.
since i wasn't spending a lot of time in the room i didn't care too much about not having a view. the room is small, but i was aware of this when booking the hotel. for the price, you will get more than what should be expected. the staff all speak english and are extremely helpful and hospitable. i used the l'open tour hop on hop off bus for seeing the city and there was a stop just a couple of blocks down from the hotel where i could get on and off.
i was traveling alone (female) and didn't stay out too late after dark. the hotel's location let me walk through the park in front of the eiffel tower every night and get back to the hotel, never feeling unsafe.
if you are traveling on a budget, i highly recommend this hotel.
