A clean room, but with a very small bed and pillows of a bad quality. Friendly people who was very helpfull. Ask for the new rooms at 6. floor with a streetview which are bigger and have more light and a bigger beds.

"Grand Hotel de Paris"
It was an average hotel with pretty good service. When we were trying to find it, we went through a very shady part of Paris and did not feel very comofortable. Once we made it to the hotel, we felt a little better about the location. We walked a block around the shady part every time we went to or left the hotel. It was clean for the most part, and a nice place to go back to after a long day of walking. If you do not plan on hanging out in the hotel all of the time, this is the place to stay at.

"a week-end in Paris"
The hotel has an excellent location, close to the trainstation, subways and buses. Restaurants and brasseries in the neighbourghood. Officially a 3-star hotel, it is no more worth than a meagre 2. The floor is sloaping towards the middle of the room, what do I say ... you can visibly see that the bed is at least 5 cm lower one side than the other. I had to put the quilts under the mattress as not to roll out of the bed at night. Rooms are so-called sound proof, heuheu ... they where that sound proof, we woke up at 5.30 am when public transport started. I can assure anyone we are sound sleepers. Furniture is old and gives a poor feeling.

"I was a good size room (though slanting abit!), the bed was ok"
Pros: I was a good size room (though slanting abit!), the bed was ok. it was quiet too, at the rear of the property not facing the main street. checking in and out was very straightforward
Cons: The room was abit tatty and in need of rennovation. the lift up to where we were (the 5th floor) was tiny, but functional. we had a look at the breakfast option but it looked v.limited and poorly laid out/presented
