 "Eh"
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel left a little to be desired. No pillowcases...there is just one long pillow rolled into the sheets. The area around the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Our cab driver said we were in the "center of dangerous" lol

 "My purse got robbed around the hotel area"
very unsafe location. i arrived barbes train station at 11pm. there was guys fighting by the hotel area. was extremely afraid as there were dark area and rubbish were everywhere. noody knows the direction to the hotel, thus you better print a map to walk to the hotel from train station. got into hotel and the room was very cool. there were no hot water in the bathroom. the heater in the bedroom did not help much. i had to sleep in my winter cloth. the floor squeak everytime we take a step on it. but the worst thing, the hotel door can be opened from outside as there were no additional lock in the room. there wasnt any pillow provided.very eerie night for me as i can hear so many things from my room. at 6.15am in the morning, i checked out, and i got robbered at the hotel area. all of my money were gone. nobody helped me while i was chasing the robbers. dont stay in this hotel area unless u r in big group and no children.

 "Not worth trying"
This hotel is a very old building and doesn't even worth for the money paid. pay some more and get a good hotel. Lot many disturbances (theft) near the metro entrace which is the only way to get to trains from here. I certainly don't recommend this hotel.

 "Yopu get what you pay for"
This hotel is a budhet hotel and if you stay there with that in mind then it does exactly that. The rooms are basi but clean and tidy. The location is very close to the Metro and a 20 minute walk to Sacre Cour and the Moulin Rouge. The staff are friendly, helpful and were always available to discuss the accomdation. If you want a cheap place to stay in Paris this is it.

 "It was cheap and clean"
Pros: It was cheap and clean.
Cons: It was in a bad area - a lot of drunk/drugged/restless men hanging around the subway which is 20-30 meters from the hotel. it was not a safe area for two young women. and the hotel staff were very weird around us. we didn't feel comfortable and would not recommend this hotel.

 "good for laying the head"
Creaky floor boards. Thin walls. Was a good place to use just as a base camp but nothing else. Not far from the metro in to central Paris. Probably wouldn't stay there again. The locals just down the road from the hotel underneath the railway bridge are very undesirable. We felt endangered walking past them.

Pros: Rooms were nice, clean and we had a nice balcony view as well from the fourth floor. service at the hotel was good as well.
Cons: Metro is far away from the hotel

 "Close to a train station"
Pros: Close to a train station. so easy access to go to other places.
Cons: Yes, i'm 18years old and traveling on my own. one of the staff members took advantage of this and tried to 'get with me' several times. being my first time overseas alone i was completely freaked out and scared me to death, so much that i barely left my room after that. i also felt unsafe in the particular area and neighborhood of paris. will definitely not be coming back here again.

 "The hotel is by the metro station"
Pros: The hotel is by the metro station.
Cons: 1 during my 5 days accomondation we had the same sheets! they didn t change the sheets everyday or every 2 days. 2 we had only 2 small towel in the room for 2 persons. 3 there isn t any small frigde in the room. 4 it was a little cold at night.

Pros: Most of the staff was friendly.. close to a metro station, although seemed to be the worsn't in paris, was quite helpful.. close to the sacre-coeur, supermarket and pharmacy..
Cons: If you expect the minimum, that's fine.. old, ugly, very dirty.. instead of pillows, there was a hard and thin roll.. the towels were veeeeery old.. the bathroom is horrible! no light in the shower, you have to take the shower with open curtains so the everything end up wet.. also, not the best neighborhood in paris, apparently.. avoid if you can pay a bit more..

Cons: The room smelt really bad, we booked a triple room and when arrived they were all booked up so we were given a 4 bed room. good to stay if looking on a budget, but the room was pretty smelly and the pillows were made to be used under the sheet!
