"my stay"

Room was up five floors with no elevator, which was fine but no mention of this on the website. There was a bathroom on the floor but no shower? The man at reception was a bit grumpy and didn't seem very interested in being kind, more just getting me out of his way. After a long day of travel it wasn't the best reception! It was fine for a night, but i am sure there are other hotels in the area for the same price with more courteous staff. The walls are very very thin, so i could hear everything from the room next to me, felt like i was staying in a hostel rather then a hotel. The room was a decent size and had a balcony, also had a very nice sink and a small wardrobe.

Pros: I had an ensuite room, both the room and the bathroom were clean and towels were provided.
the location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance from montmartre, the opera and the gare du nord/ gare de l'est, and has a metro station very close by.
there are many bars, cafes and restaurants nearby, also several supermarkets (if you're on a budget) and a very good boulangerie.
consdiering all this, it is very good value for money!
Cons: Very narrow and smelly stairs and no elevator

"Value for money"

Pros: Value for money. near to metro and city centre. warm water from heater.
Cons: A few bed bugs. worn out mattresses, bed is weak and almost broke. toilet is small. tv not working. no room cleaning on a sunday. no lift. wireless only available on ground level.

"Right beside metro but there is no map and there are 3 right turns out of..."

Pros: Right beside metro but there is no map and there are 3 right turns out of the metro - the hotel is located on the hard right by mc donalds (i spent 90 minutes at 12.30a.m walking up and down the streets in the rain trying to find it - i eventually did by getting a taxi to take me 500yards down the street) my fault as my french is basic but the person did not speak english and there was no map i could see.
Cons: Room on 6th floor - no lift! staff member ruder than anyone i have ever met

Cons: Bedbugs - also, saw a flea jumping on my bed. also, no cleaning done, stained sheets when we arrived and no soap or loo roll. filthy hotel, no breakfast offered, creepy guys on front desk.
