 "Dirty and not renovated rooms with disrespectful staff"
The location is great (central and good connected), although not one from safest. Room was not clean and by complaining to staff, they were far from respectful. No lockers, no doors in bathroom (only curtains). Internet connection was too weak in the room and could hardly be used (only by the wall in bathroom). No TV or any other entertainment. Towels one per person and very small, old textile.

 "good choice for cheap hotel in Paris"
Cheap hotel, old building and furniture, but clean enough. Is really situated 2 minutes from metro station, but it took us 20-30 minutes to get to city center.Administration is friendly enough, we had no problems with them.

 "Simpel, cheap and good enough"
This hotel is in a nice neighborhood. A lot of African immigrants, which made it nice for us because they were very friendly and relaxed. The hotel is old and you should not go there if you want to stay in luxury. We liked it.

 "Worth the Price"
Obviously, you pay for what you get. The hotel is older. There aren't toilets in the rooms, and there's only two shared showers for the entire building. However, my room was pretty clean. The neighborhood isn't the nicest, but I never felt endangered at any point (and my group consisted of four girls). Also the hotel is right off the Simplon metro stop, so there is easy access to the city. It just takes a least 15 minutes for you to get to the city center.

Convenient traffic, facilities with the charm of 20th century Paris. A simple but regularly cleaned rooms. I liked that there is saved interesting architecture and interior details. Quet, calm, next to the street on the day of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Close to Simplon metro stop which is 10 mins from central station. takeaways and local shops near by. worth for the money but would have been better with clean bathrooms.the only down side is customer service, refused to help me with a letter for visa.

The hotel looks more attractive on the internet as compared to the real life situation. The internet service is not very good from upstairs so something must be done too. The bathroom has to be improved

 "It's not worth your money"
. really grumpy staff - rooms were freezing and staff complained because we wanted a quilt. mouldy walls, mouldy curtains. found someone else's underwear in our bed - at this point we changed rooms but it was no better... found hair in the bed, lots of it !. ensuite bathroom smelly and no door separating it from bedroom . awful location - though extremely close to the metroAWFUL ! !

 "better than expected"
We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Paris, and found this hotel. While reading the comments from other people we thought it will be terrible, but as we found out, it was much better than expected. We got a room on a 6th floor and as we saw on a room map, our room was much bigger than the rest of them. All we needed was bed and free internet and metro line in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay there again as it was cheaper than to book a hostel for 2people.

 "Terrible"
When I was looking for a cheap hotel in Paris with internet so I thought I'm not going to book the cheapest one because it may be really bad and I needed internet access which it was priority for me, on the advert it says that you have internet access everywhere in hotel that was a lie the internet did not work I even tried going around the coridor . OK the staff where very rude the room was very smelly for that price you can find a much better hotel. The next morning I left really early and find myself an average hotel with internet access in the room for 35 euros and the room was clean and not smelly. I would not recommend to any one because for the price you pay you can find a hotel with better conditions and friendly staff around Paris then Hotel des Olympides. No No No

 "bearable"
close to metro, some shops, however the sheets were dirty (blood stains). No pillows, uncomfortable bed, no shower on the floor, the cleaner messed around- once she opened our room door despite we were sleeping ( I guess she was going to clean the room), second morning she was arguing loudly with someone behind our door... The reception lady did not speak english at all, wifi is not free, no heating in the room... good for students or budget stay, however second time I wont stay there.

I think this would best suit those who want an inexpensive stay in Paris, the rooms are basic, but large and clean. If you aim to spend most of your day sight seeing this is perfect. The Simplon metro stop is 30 seconds from hotel too, so you cant really get lost.For these reasons i rate it highly.

Desk service was accommodating. Room was dirty, however affordable and met basic needs. Hotel in close proximity to metro station. Nice park down the street from hotel.

 "Inexpensive but you pay for it"
The location is decent, the staff is nice, the rooms are clean and fairly comfortable. The biggest problems are creaky floors and showers that are communal and only open from 8 to 11:30 and then from 18:00 to 23:00. You can't just have a shower any time. The toilets are also communal.

 "Bearable..."
When we got to our room the shower floor was covered with some sort of black sludge, it was cleaned up the next day. The wifi cut in and out, very annoying. It was really out of the way from the centre of Paris. But the staff were nice and it wasn't BAD, the rooms were cute.

Quite a quaint hotel but cold, poor shower, paper-thin walls and scruffy rooms. Not dirty and a place to sleep but pay slightly more and you'll get a lot more value.

 "Terrible experience"
We arrived at the hotel a little past midnight and knocked on the door, nobody answer and we had to call the hotel to have them opening the doors for us. The hotel is located in a dangerous part of the city and the quality of the hotel revealed that.It was definitely a bad experience. The place needs an improvement on everything, from the beds to the paper on the walls.

Very noisy, and while not actually dirty, looks dirty because it hasnt been painted or decorated for 30 years. Tiny cheap beds, and virtually nothing in the room except the bed.
