Well connected to public transport, the nearby metros and buses take you in 30 minutes directly to the ‘Château De Versailles’ and its convention park or to Disneyland Resort Paris. From the hotel different buses can take you directly to the 'Notre Dame' cathedral, 'Arc de Triomphe', 'Champs - Elysées', the Louvre Museum, 'Montmartre', 'St Germain' and many other places.
How you can get to Hotel La Serre
From Charles de Gaulle Airport: Take the RER B (blue) train and change trains at 'Saint-Michel Notre-Dame' station. Change to the RER C train and get off at ‘Pont de l'Alma’ station. The hotel is a 9-minute walk away from the metro station but you can also choose to get off at RER station 'Invalides' to take metro line 8 from there to metro station 'La Tour-Maubourg' which is only a 5-minute walk away.
From Orly Airport: Take the C6 (yellow) SNCF train and change trains at Antony station to the RER B train and change again at 'Saint-Michel Notre-Dame' station. Change to the RER C train (1, 5 or 7) direction 'Pontoise'/'Versailles Rive Gauche'/'Saint-Quentin-en-yvelines-Montigny-le-Bretonneux' and get off at ‘Pont de l'Alma’ station. The hotel is a 9-minute walk away from the metro station but you can also choose to get off at RER station 'Invalides' to take metro line 8 from there to metro station 'La Tour-Maubourg' which is only a 5-minute walk away.

Cons: The hotel needs a total renovation, however that is apparently going to happen now that they have new owners. i look forward to returning after that.
Cons: The only negative aspect with the hotel la serre was that we had one person on the staff who was rude to us and when we had an issue with electrical outlets they were never resolved resulting in not have working outlets in the room the whole stay.
Cons: Having to climb the stairs as the lift was out of order, and not having a view of the eifel tower as stated on the web site.

Cons: The safes in the rooms aren't bolted down. a can of wd-40 would be very, very helpful because the doors squeak so loudly. the hotel has an elevator, but it's just barely big enough to fit one person and some luggage or two people without luggage. the shower stalls were very small (but still bigger than the elevator). while most of the staff were very helpful, there were a couple of staff members who couldn't seem to care less if they answered our questions or got us what we needed. the walls are very thin.

Cons: It may have just been my appliances, but even with my converter, i couldn't get anything(small laptop, hair straightener) to work in the outlets. though it may have just been that room.
the address was also a little confusing, but very close to ecole militaire metro station, and after asking a passerby or two, i found it.
