Hotel and staff were quite good, but no English speaking channels apart from cnn on tv (i know your not going to Paris to watch tv, but i like to watch before sleep etc) this seemed odd as so many visitors to Paris are Canadian/US, Eng etc. The hotel does have on-demand movies, alot in English. Despite them having a price attached, at the time of our stay, they were complimentary. However, they came through the tv so quietly, that u could only hear if u sat completely still, breathed shallowly and strained to hear (we have perfect hearing) Only 1 normal teabag allowed each day, not even 1 allowed per person! Supposedly air-con in our room, but we did not see any benefit of the small fan system built into ceiling by the bathroom, it did not blow out any air at all. On the positive side, it is perfectly located. It is walking distance of 3 metro stations. But best of all was the area, which was vibrant and buzzing whilst still allowing you to feel safe and involved. Lots of cafes and restaurants and bars etc, really lovely. Definitely the best area to stay, based on the other areas we visited. All in all staff were reasonably helpful and the hotel was modern while the rooms still have some parisian panache. We had a good time.
